Episode 172 - Pascal Fintoni | Visual Storytelling

Pascal started his career in 1994 in London working for a well known holiday company creating campaigns for TV, radio, newspapers and of course the Internet. Fast forward to now, Pascal is driving the digital skills agenda across the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. Pascal is also a video producer and he has successfully introduced many of the storytelling techniques used by filmmakers into his coaching.

Pascal shared with Ian some absolute gold when it comes to video marketing;

  • Pascals boyhood passion for cinema
  • Be seen, be heard
  • Standing out from the crowd
  • Share what you've learnt
  • Show how you are well researched
  • Be curious
  • Story types; The quest (overcoming obstacles), Assembling a team (providing a solution), The metamorphosis (total transformation)
  • Elements of a story; Race against time, David Vs Goliath, Two voices (torn between conflicting advice)

Whist on lock-down because of the Covid-19 pandemic, Ian Farrar wanted to create something special for the listeners.

Ian live streamed (Facebook, YouTube & Twitter) for six hours on the 15th April 2020 and interviewed 12 of his friends back to back!

We have edited those videos and created bonus podcast episodes.

The original videos can be watched again on the respective social media platforms.
