Episode 198 Kate Baucherel | How Blockchain is Revolutionising Industry

Kate Baucherel is a speaker, writer and digital strategist specialising in the application of emerging technologies, with a focus on the use of blockchain and cryptocurrency. She is also the author of several books including Blockchain Hurricane: Origins, Applications and Future of Blockchain and Cryptocurrency (BEP 2020) and the SimCavalier series of cybercrime scifi thrillers. In a career spanning more than 30 years, Kate has held senior technical and financial roles in businesses across multiple sectors including utilities, manufacturing, leisure and software, leading several enterprises through their start-up and growth phases. Her interest in technology was sparked at her first role with an IBM business partner in Denver, back when the AS/400 was a cutting-edge piece of hardware and the World Wide Web didn’t exist.

Kate graduated in business from Newcastle University. She is an experienced Chartered Management Accountant and also lectures at Teesside University. In addition to this, she impressively holds a 2nd Dan black belt in karate, and has two children.
