February & March 2018 Live

live event

We have the first two LIVE podcasts of the year booked!

February 28th sees us back at the fantastic One Trinity Green in Ian’s home town of South Shields.

Ian will be speaking LIVE with Jill McKinney, Head of Skills at Sunderland Software City. Jill is a passionate leader working across the North East to raise awareness of the skills issues within the digital and tech sector.

Jill’s current role sees her work across the region. Proactively engaging industry and education to supporting both parties to get what they need from each other – talk about a challenge!

With teachers being stretched to breaking point with existing curriculum demands, the need for digital skills in business in of huge importance – and not only in the tech sector.

Moving on to ensuring there is opportunity for industry to input into education whilst recognising the constraints some SMEs face with their time. So, there is the potential of real trouble brewing in developing and recruiting talent within the North East.
